Whew!! What a Ride!!!!

It has been a full week since I posted a blog.  I had sort of forgotten how much time it takes to have everyone around me all day long!  I just have not had the time to blog- even while traveling.  I did work on  a couple of posts that I want to use eventually, but for the most part, I just have not had the time to write!

We did spend our 5 days in Disney and had a blast!!  I was able to get a 5 day park hopper for less than it would have cost had I got the 4 day.  It was a 4 day plus one special.  So I bought those for us all.  We also spent a day in LEGOLAND.  We are kind of Lego freaks so it was high on the list of things to do!  We had buy one get a child entrance free coupons a sweet friend gave me so we saved a LOT of money on that too!

So all in all, 6 days in amusement parks!

For a family that rarely goes to amusement parks, that was huge!!  And we had a blast!!  We were exhausted though by the 6th day!

To save some money, another family suggested we pack snacks and sandwiches to eat along the way.  We did do that and that worked out very well!  We did end up eating out more than we really wanted to, but it was much less than had we not packed food to take with us.

We bought most of our souvenirs off site.   Some things we did find were either not available off site, or were not any differently priced off site so we did purchase a few things on site.  Like Lego kits from LEGOLAND.  It wasn’t any cheaper on or off so we just let them get them there.  They had saved up their money for that purpose.

For Disney, we used the Undercover Tourist app extensively!!  It saved us so much time!  We were able to keep an eye on wait times using that app and grabbed the shortest lines for our most favored rides.  We also could pick our park depending on the crowds too.  If it was a red park we stayed away from it that day.  That made things much easier too.

Another app we used that helped us grab fast passes, which we ended up using only once, was My Disney Experience.  This one also had a bunch of other things we could have used but didn’t, like planning our dining and wait times.  Park maps were also on this app.  You could also find out where the characters were.  We tended to just grab the characters where we could.  No we didn’t get a book full of autographs, but it wasn’t our focus really.  The youngest got some autographs, but even she wasn’t interested in long wait times.

The fast passes we did end up getting were especially for Test Track.  That ride was never under an hour and a half wait time.  Getting the fast pass for that one saved us an hour wait at least.  You do have to get fast passes for their pick of 2 other places though and both of them were a waste of time, as we just walked onto both without a long line.  You could do some changing around and I did do that.  This one was a hit with the whole family!!  Worth the effort for us to get to do this ride!

All in all, we had a great experience and have tons of good memories to bring home!  Along with lots of pictures!

This has been a very memorable trip for us all!

Blessings!
