Reflections on the A to Z Challenge

A-to-Z Reflection [2015] - LgI am supposed to write a reflections post on doing the A to Z challenge.  What were my thoughts on the challenge, what would I change, do differently etc.  Then link it to the A to Z blog for everyone to read.  There are still about a thousand blogs listed there on that site, so if you are looking to read some new blogs, go check it out!  There is something for everyone!!

To begin with, there were over 1600 blogs registered.  My own number was something like 1374, I think.  Now, I am 1075.  That means quite a few bloggers were removed for one reason or another through the course of the month.

I actually enjoyed the challenge.  I enjoyed the challenge of writing a blog post every day for 6 out of 7 days, each one having to do with a letter of the alphabet.  I loved reading what others wrote for each letter as well.  I enjoyed finding new blogs of people doing the challenge as well.

I did not use the 2 letter code other than at the beginning when I first clicked on a few blogs.  I just went through the list and clicked on blogs that looked interesting.  I did search specifically for A to Z challenge blogs and that way found a few more blogs to click.

Some blogs I found that I have enjoyed include:

  1. heronthereeverywhere.us
  2. fourcamelsandacoffeetogo.wordpress.com
  3. kidfarmer.wordpress.com
  4. Ann-A Friend of Jesus
  5. pluckingofmyheartstrings.com
  6. Nadine Feldman, Author
  7. Coach Daddy

There are so many others!! Keep an eye on the list on the right of my page.  There are some blogs listed there that I have enjoyed, some I have liked for a lot longer than the A to Z challenge, and some I have met through others in the challenge.

I have a bunch of new readers and commenters which is really fun, and a few more challenges to meet yet!  Eli, over a Coach Daddy, challenged me to write a story in 6 words. I have not yet attempted it, but its in the back of my mind to give it a try.

I hope you have enjoyed my blogs as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

  1. Ahhh …thanks for the shout out. I too enjoyed the A to Z because it was the first time that I really began to understand what blogging was all about… a community who supports and shares. As a new-ish blogger, there is a lot to learn but there is so much to enjoy. I have enjoyed finding you as well. Have a great day 🙂 Cheryl

  2. Yours was the first blog I read in the challenge … definitely a great start! I didn’t even know we were supposed to write a wrap-up, but it makes sense. Hey, I was just a rookie.

    1. I didn’t either!! I noticed that some others were writing them, so I went to the blog and saw that they were asking for a reflections post. I thought, why not?? I don’t know what else to write!!!!!! Thanks for reading my blog! You make me smile!
